He holds my hand.
A sweet, simple act.
Slowly he lifts my hand to his cheek,
to his lips, and kisses it ever so softly.
I love him
He opens doors for me:
the car door, the front door, the office door.
He is a gentleman and
his love shines through the respect he offers.
I love him
He brings me gifts,
large and small, that prove he listens,
that he knows me, that he seeks always
in all ways, to please me.
I love him
He makes me laugh:
Small giggles at his clowning
and wonderful big belly laughs
that slide salty tears down my face.
I love him
He takes care of me
He works diligently to provide,
often sacrificing his sleep and time for me.
He puts me first in his heart.
I love him
He looks into my eyes.
He promises fidelity and truth,
love that surpasses age and health,
and his devotion shines in his smile.
I love him
But best of all:
He prays.
He prays with me, he prays for me,
and for that wondrous gift of great love
I love him more.
Always and forever,
my husband, my love
I Love Him
