In the night I saw a beakon of hope;
a glimmer, a glisten, so bright to mine eye.
And from the darkened jungle
His protective voice spoke, and said
"Do not fear, beautiful lady, do not cry.
For I am here to calm you
and take away your pain.
Smile forever, tattered angel,
my love shall shield you from the rain!"

aimed with angry art,
words can sting like all things
but it's silence that breaks the heart

Some poems speak to the soul
This one speaks to mine
Most beautiful and wonderfully done
Bric-a Brac
Death will be your final victory over life
Rejoice, for victory comes even as you live
Spread your arms and embrace the future

Re: My Red Dragon
thank you moushka and kuperianForever. My love, Danny, is very protective of me. His drivers licence says he was born 1976 which would make him a dragon. He kind of turns red when he's mad or coughing. Thus red dragon. I'm a tiger. Born 1986.
Since I wrote this poem when we first got together in 2012, I've only been rained on once when I was with him and once when I was alone. He takes up for me and doesn't let anyone disrespect me or hurt me anymore. I feel like God took two broken people and put them together to make us fix each other. If I had never started believing in God I never would have found him.
