The Three of Us

Post by Mellen12 » Mon Apr 06, 2009 2:15 pm

My enragement became new again as I fell to my face
Echoes in this mainstream radio have turned the pace
For discreetly I amuse myself with a strange situation
Loving you will never be the same as my concentration
On loving him, this is mightier than my storm within
I’ve kept you distant for a price, may I truly be given
A way to salvation so that I don’t numbly hurt you both
Or a way to damnation, may I think about some growth
He gave me something that I couldn’t quite shoulder
In time my love grew greater and his heart got colder
You are my prince and the keeper of my day dreams
But he is my king and my shining lightning beams
I will love him now and forever ‘til my days are done
He will hold me in his heart ‘til the end of the sun
"A woman with the courage to step out into the unknown, risking temporary loneliness for a shot at lasting joy, is more than a "single." She's singular. Instead of defining herself by what she lacks - a relationship with a man - she defines herself by what she has: a relationship with God." ~from Dawn Eden's 'The Thrill of the Chaste'
