Quo Vadis?

Where are you going
in such a hurry
to get through life?
The rose awaits your nose
and the sunset wears
her finest garb
to please your eyes.
Childrens laughter
strives to assail your ears
and the gentle vernal zephyr
caresses the down of your cheek.
A lovers lips
make way for your tongue
as all your senses cry out
for the taste of passion.
Eat heartily of the fruit
and bide a while in gentle bliss
for only the moment exists
in the temporal maelstrom.
The vortex will claim all in the end
so grasp joy now as you draw breath
hold it tightly to your breast
and allow the sensations
to course through your being.
