Blue Eyes


In his blue eyes a deep sadness shows

Of hidden heartaches that only his hearts knows

A fractured heart yearning for love

On bent knees he prays too Heaven above


He stands in the shadows studious and strong

Wondering where in this world his heart belongs

Past loves haunt the depths of his soul

Wondering if true love his heart will ever know


Watching and waiting has love past him by

Such a sadness I see deep in his blue eyes

As I gaze into this small window of his soul

My heart aches for this pain he shows


Numb are his feelings he try's to hide

But I see such a sadness deep in his blue eyes

Strong and beautiful is his soul

Searching waiting it's true love his heart

wants to know


Love will find him this I am sure

For in his heart he carries a love so pure

Sweet and gentle is his spirit

I know some day it's true love he will inherit

that was a very cool poem, just the idea of it was great but then you made the idea even better by adding in little things most people would have overlooked. This poem is deep but it isn't drawn out to the point where it bores the reader. Very nice job.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I've found that you can tell alot about someone just by gazing into their eyes. It amazes me that the eyes can tell such sweet stories as well as show such a deep sadness. I have always thought that you can glimpse into ones soul through that beautiful window of the eyes!
