Heinzs,

This is a beautifully compelling poem, I just had to read it through a couple times! The imageries are sensational, and the read compelling. I love your first line, and your use of visual imagery with color. Lines like

The glasses clink and the squirrel stops
momentarily in his tracks,
then resumes burying his acorn.

this is worded just perfectly! Very nice ending, I do think that I am going to have to nominate this poem as the poem of the week, since I see nobody has found one yet to nominate. Thanks for sharing with us!
