Not 'til Monday

We do what we want
On Saturday nights
Garbage in the can
Waiting for pick-up
But not ‘til Monday

Stevey’s feeling happy
‘Cause the whiskey’s gone
Asking for my cash
To feed his habit
He’ll pay me back...Monday

Jim’s feeling stupid
For Friday bar nights
While wifey’s at home
Says she’ll change the locks
But not ‘til Monday

I feel a bit numb
Lighter in my hand
Lookin’ for reasons
To drop old friends...
Maybe on Monday

So, we do what we want
On Saturday nights
Reliving old days
Knowing it will end
But not ‘til Monday
