Pondering What The Dinosaurs Did Wrong

Post by MJPease » Fri Mar 01, 2002 12:28 pm

Moon turned to Sun
Moon smiled and backed away
Earth nodded in total agreement
Sun warmed the Earth with great expectations

Earths heart began to warm
Polar caps slowly began to melt
Rivers rose to meet Sea
Sea gave birth to intelligent life

Balance of nature was pure
Dinosaur began to roam Earth
Heaven smiled for a while
Moon turned into Sun

Fire rained down on Earth
Earth cried and succumbed to fever
Volcanoes erupted simultaneously
Ash rose into space blocking Sun

Intelligent life sought refuge in Sea
Earths fever began to break into a chill
Earth plunged into a deep freeze
Mountains of expanding ice split crust

Moon turned to Sun
Moon smiled and then backed away
Earth nodded in total agreement
Sun warmed Earth with great expectations

HEART HANGING

Post by MJPease » Fri Mar 01, 2002 6:44 pm

HEART HANGING

heart hanging like a
pocket full of loose change
aimed for a cherished liquor bottle
destined for a dusty shelf
saved for that rainy day
mind like binary fusion
absorbing all heard and seen
confusion is the theme
nothing seems real
humankind at the bazaar
no rhyme, no reason
what is our reality?
life waits for no one
heart crying out loud
mind guilt by association

Human Genome

Post by MJPease » Fri Mar 01, 2002 8:13 pm

Human Genome

Wandering down this genetic trail
eventually becoming so frail
fountain of youth the goal of the day
but who will be able to pay
a promise of life ever after
amazingly without fear of disease
designer drugs insuring vigor and looks
a frozen egg and a pocket full of genes
no need for that elaborate family life
necessity nothing more than a warm womb
a mere imitation of life, I hope they see
but maybe the modern day Noahs Ark, or our
salvation preparing to get on its way

SHADES OF MIND 68

Young minds banded together
probing music and our souls
as a banded rainbow
has variant shades of color
as a band we had various
shades of mind

Life and Death 93

Post by MJPease » Mon Mar 04, 2002 11:39 pm

Life and Death 93

My emotions have left me once again
I welcome you my dark and long lost friend
My sense's have transferred to the other side
I've been left with darkness and broken pride

It's time to catch up to what I've lost along the way
There are no bags to pack or itineraries to write
I'm just taking my visions and memories so bright
Wish I could choose which ones to carry but they have all earned the right

Life is never without an ending
So lets begin our timely journey
I've heard it's not so far away
Lets take it to the limit, and have some fun along the way

Passing through only one time
May the rest of time
Be your best of time
Until the end of time

Dreams 1993

Post by MJPease » Mon Mar 04, 2002 11:56 pm

Dreams 1993

You came to talk to me in my sleep
Your words seemed ever so true
Conversation was my writing, which never deceived you
You brought me to my sense's and made me see the truth
You revealed suicide as the hidden agenda, and it bothered you
Never a subject for some one so young and innocent as you
I know now it was not the proper thing to do
You have a long and beautiful life waiting ahead for you
Never to forgive myself if I've adversely affected you
So now leave my dreams and let them be my own
You have a positive road to travel, and you,ll never be alone
If your journey becomes a problem coping along the way
Return to my dreams and I,ll try and help you through the day
Friendship is forever and not some idle play
Whatever the out come, in my heart you will always stay

Balancing Destiny

Post by MJPease » Tue Mar 05, 2002 12:41 pm

Balancing Destiny

Need to Scream
Remove my clothes
Shed my skin
Where do I begin

Cold the river flowed
As you jumped in
You took control
Ending your life

I hear you calling
From the other side
Maybe the dark side
Possibly the right side

You passed on
Ending your search
You passed the torch
That makes me search

Spreading your ashes
You flew in the breeze
Recklessly landing, as in life
On your fathers grave

Winding on Down
This genetic trail
Unable to avoid
Becoming so frail

Wizards and Demons
Man of extremes
Chemical Imbalance
Or so it seems

Talk to me now
As you have in the past
The need to know
Will this day last

Crossed Roads

Post by MJPease » Wed Mar 06, 2002 1:51 pm

Crossed Roads

a tangled traffic past
stalled in the intersection of life
tormented by the yellow flashing light
as traffic passed
without caution, loud and powerful
a freight train of life's joy and fears
throwing caution to the wind
unwilling to get out of the way
lost for words, left in a state of confusion
leading my life's work to slow decay
always doing what I think is in
as I reached for the blue light
memory extinguished by electricity
someone tampered with my destiny
now always doing what I think is right
standing in the intersection of life
comforted by the yellow flashing light
watching all the tangled traffic pass.

Balancing Destiny/ part two

Post by MJPease » Sat Mar 09, 2002 12:02 pm

Balancing Destiny/ part two

With no urn for your ashes
no sarcophagus made of stone
your ashes laid naked in despair
exposed to the frigid night air

I returned this past March
as we laid Gram to her final rest
eyes searching for the past, remnants
of your Ashes, left four years before

Why did you decide it was time to depart
the loudest guitars can't calm my heart
visited the foot of West Ferry on this solemn day
the place slaves escaped to freedom they say

Suffering from destiny's indelible stamp
pondering the freedom you searched for that day
why is it that so many brilliant minds
wander from this Earth before their time

Standing on the edge of the mighty Niagara
the powerful spell you must of been in
mysteries of the river as it doodles in my head
reaches into the mind and attempts to pull me in

You come across as one with such a cold heart
I know this isn't true so I'm left here to ponder
you had to know what you were doing that day
the mighty Niagara leaves no room to play

Balancing Destiny/ Part One and Two
dedicated to the loving memory of my Father
William Donald Pease
a very troubled, caring loving man who decided enough was enough and on May 20 1996 jumped into the Niagara River. Part of understanding him and why this happened has become a big part my writings in The Earth The Son and The Moon.

A WARRIORS TALE

Post by MJPease » Wed Mar 13, 2002 1:31 pm

A WARRIORS TALE

A dragon's breathe spit fire at me
chanting, you maggot, scum bag scrotum pig
legs began to shake, mind shattered
what made me choose such a fate

Demanding my respect, leading by example
stripped of identity, broke me down
shaped my mind, sculpted muscle with tone
well oiled gears for the green machine

Honor, courage, commitment, Semper Fi
not trained to die for our country, but to
make the enemy die for thine, was our cry
learned great powers of spirit and mind

Strolled through the valley of the shadow
my enemies good aim, lucky bullet chose my fate
casualty of war, gun, small arms fire they say
hope my Mothers tears will dry some day

My young face is frozen in time, etched in her mind
I see your reflection, admire the gifts you lay
while I watch my Mother and Father pray
you have not aged as gracefully as I, what a shame

Your fore head has grown so much bigger now
so many wrinkles, how did you get two chins
whatever happened to your dimples, as I laugh
here I am frozen in time, stop by again.

QUEEN OF THE HILL

Post by MJPease » Mon Mar 18, 2002 1:31 pm

QUEEN OF THE HILL

Reliving a Childhood game in my head
for the sake of being politcally correct, woman
aspire proud, to be the next Kings of the Hill
not that simple, great barriers they've overcome

Balls said the Queen, having two I'd be King
and this world wouldn't be falling apart
if it weren't for biology, you would be me
you'd bare the children and I would be free

Is it not all that clear or important to be
the most significant thing life offers thee
oh what flak I'll take for the stance I make
feminist will chew me up and spit wine at me

Well go a head now Ladies run off to War
no back seat Rosie the Riveter's here
not to worry about the kids, there all right
hear about Columbine, they've joined the fight

Major problem, they didn't choose the right war
some how things have gotten way out of hand
what could they've been thinking of, mothers love
not the King Of The Hill I'm thinking of

Man on the Chess Board, taught me many a thing
boards smaller, running out of squares, to many pawns
no longer cradled by a Mothers loving care
it's not so mystical, thinking ten steps ahead

SUNSETS and SILHOUETTES

Post by MJPease » Mon Mar 18, 2002 11:17 pm

SUNSETS and SILHOUETTES

A poets wanting heart unfolds
graciously written words of Love
soon a knight in shining armour comes
bearing shimmering gifts, trinkets of Love

So as the Poets story unfolds, it
obscures this thing called Love
shimmering gifts, music, cars and clothes
we have come to Love all kinds of shit

One day you see yourself looking at the Sun set
filling in the silhouettes of loves past
holding on to something you thought would last
nothing was to be stronger than Love

Or was it stronger than dirt, I Love that stuff
I Love that new song, by whats her name?
how about that peanut butter, Love that shit
what about NYPD Blue, I Love that show

How the kids doing? Ah there all right
the wife, hey you know, same old, same old
and work, same day different shit
Bass Ale, Oh Man I Love that shit

Third Degree Broken Heart

Post by MJPease » Wed Mar 20, 2002 9:51 am

Third Degree Broken Heart

Out of the way in the nick of time, you decide
serious stuff a third degree broken heart, getting
some big time thoughts from Shakespeare and Young
I think there for -No- "To Thine Own Self Be True"
that's it William, will start with that, Brilliant

Hello Neil I felt you thrashing around in my head
not now Lao! were about to take on broken Love
"But Only Love Can Break Your Heart" Brilliant
thanks guys I'll try to take it from here, Hush!
as hypomanias train tears through another heart

Would you dare to come in and have a look about?
there is a lot of neat stuff here to be found, I-
No! don't touch, haven't opened that file in years
look at some of the photographs I found, Please!
my first love, Yeah! said I was nothing but work

A heart in the wrong hands is a dangerous thing
third degree broken heart, No! not the blues
love becomes a hollow point, tears right through
they hit you with the paddles, crack your chest
lucky, you pass the test, if not guess the rest

watch for young Poets, read their take on Love
wishing to take them in, on a journey deep inside
rummaging through my mind, save them some time
return them aware of how dangerous love really is
live and write what true loves really all about

Pathetic tears, shorting out the keyboard, JERK!
shutting down my words, extinguishing my soul
grab a pen and paper, the ink is smearing, Fool!
stop crying, look what you've done, Help! Help!
William, Neil, and Lao go to sleep,I got to get up
