Moon rises
with that
luminous shine
where memories
find that their place
where whispers
reveal secrets
that tend to be private
mysteries of hours
between two
within that context
of romance
where sometimes those impulses
rise in magic
that touches the soul

[carndo]

those solitary things
that allow one to find peace
those echoes and rhythms
where one doesn't mind
walking in the shadow
or finding a beach
where one watches nature
in her glory
that single patch of woods
where one can hear the whisper
of the wind
or watch an owl
in the top of a pecan tree
watching the waves
on the shore of a mountain lake
hear the water of a creek
drifting into a waterfall
knowing that harmony
that somehow touches within

another saturday night
that seems to wait for no one
and yet it matters not
life moves on
whether you want it to or not
you find a place that's comfortable
within your heart or mind
find those smiles
wherever you can
for tomorrow is not guaranteed
and yesterdays are met in the past
there's no point in dwelling on either
only the today's
that are right in front
maybe I'm preaching to the choir
is stating the obvious
still you do
what you can
me?
I'll find the smiles in life

simple paper heart
that touched within that certain touch
soaring in the emotion
where it mingles
moment by moment
sensuous within that kiss
those secrets
where you walk together
that magic
sought only in time
carving those landscapes
held with the heart

that moon held sonata
where the romance
touches within the essence
those promises luminous
within the light
nourished moment by moment
escaping through memories
infinite
in that sensuous touch
brilliant within the heart
where one remembers
that one kiss

to touch within the horizon
where clouds meet the eagles
soaring within nigh
those rainbows on the edge
sheltered on those cliffs
where boundaries have no essence
wings soaring on high
offered within the dive
yet in that understanding
the flight somehow makes everything count

lips open to lips
which rage within that want
where that sensual touch
covered in that breath
those trembling connections
where the voice
serenades that song
venerable
moment to moment
tender resonance
within those sonnets
that reaches with the heart

[carndo]

that cobblestone walkway
built in the springtime
from flat rocks gathered
from the local river
two miles away
some small
some large
sometimes one had to dig a hole in the ground
to even the stone
in comparison to others added on the walk
took labor, time and effort
to get the stones even and level
where one could walk over the path
and not get one's feet muddy
when the rains came
yet that walkway was created
with love and care
for those in the future

river dreams
within that hazy
fog swirling in the distance
where oak rises beyond the horizon
howling wolves
start their hunt
within the edge of the mountains
where shadows rise
in the twilight
waterfalls sparkle off the cliff
as elk rampage through the woods
and if one listens
a screech owl hoots
whispering to those of his own kind
a rock path
cuts through those woods
leading to a journey
for those waiting to explore it

sagebrush clambers
as the wind arises
within the silence
red rock sandstone canyons
that whisper
from waterfalls
eons rise into the twilight
where lizards bob
trying to catch the flying insects
off the edge of the creek
and a rattler is watching and waiting
for that mistake
in which the prey
makes
when caught unaware

dragon wing
that rises within the air
feeling the current
as on soars within the clouds
high into the horizon
twilight touches that passion within the heart
where one feels that freedom
open within that need
feeling the wind on the brow
soaring in flight
following the sunset
touching the distance
making those ammends

watching the red oak
in the front yard
where nature bides her time
spring has finally come
after the winter rains
blossoms in full bloom
some cover the car port
leaves are just beginning to grow
as the seasons become warmer
listen
maybe you can hear
that whisper
telling one to explore

sister moon
to touch within
that passion
risen within the soul
where that sensual desire
finds that moment
in which two share
visions of bliss
devotion touches
when least expected
splendor and affection
sweetness with the heart
where one listens to the warm
that gift of love
that touches with the quiet shore
private between two

there are paths
I havn't followed
though the exploration and adventure
I would enjoy
it's not the destination that matters
only the journey
but then new territories
find their moment
sometimes though
you have to have patience
to find
that new path
and an open mind
to realize
that new journey

to touch within that dream
where our eyes meet
breaths touch into that past
yet the melody
finds the completeness
with two hearts
photographs and perfumes
within that seducted grace
desire flung
exploded within some mingled breath
lips kiss
crossing into passion
casual memories
within that witching season
where poetry
