Part Five

Post by Alisdaire » Fri Aug 01, 2003 10:44 pm

Grim Reminder

Something died in me
I don't know when it started
nor how long the bitter struggle lasted,
But ever it haunts me, wears away and gnaws
Till the last parting gasp choked at the knowing
and released its phantomed call
till finely before me stood my ghost.
It walks the old places
My fields of dreams
between all my reason, sanity
It bears its grim reminder
Of another day's sorrow.
Twine these parting eyes closed
neath the shadowed boughs I knew in youth
and lay forever dreaming the fading melody
that vanished as fast as first made
I cry not for the loss
the ungained truth
but humble myself to the understanding
of what worth the vision held.

When the Flame was young

Post by Alisdaire » Fri Aug 01, 2003 11:44 pm

When the Flame was young

I awoke when the flame was young
journeyed the many adventures
sailed the many seas
and drifted to the currents of time
I have traveled many a land
seen many a face and place.
I was raised as a Sun
growing into the fulness of life
I caught every moment and danced the differ
I sang the lilts of home and glanced forever
to womanhood's charms, soft curves and form
to the Nights flamboyant air, the fresh breath of morn.
Intoxicated to the whisky and rye
and never heard my souls deep cry.
_________________

I was not evil, not intentionally so
but rather self absorbed as to what I wanted
I grew within the cascading vanities of sex
and devoured all my deep pleasures there.
A whore well I may have been, I cannot denigh
the seasoned dream, the passion filled, the pleasures sigh
But I know I longed for more than I felt
seeked more than what I found within this physical Celt
Where is it that the bridges crossed and burned so deep
that my heart shaken from within its scared keep
Cried out, Alas O life ye awakened Jewel
shine bright and deep into the eyes of a fool
That he, I, would see more true and clear
The meaning of Love, a passion so dear.

Projections

Post by Alisdaire » Sat Aug 09, 2003 6:11 pm

Projections

Aye it's in those projected thoughts
those silent feelings
the little hostage that within re-leased
into and through every precept challenged
the liquid dream the reality of you.
How can one humble oneself enough?
Release those binding configurations within
till like a breath fresh upon the fluid air
grasps ever the truth and know what's there.
Time binds all to plenty,
drifts, the sway of some eternal boundary
but here within these aphorisms I'm bound
forever to the questioning Soul and heart.
I hear the plain unfound song
that covers me day in day out
into the vacuum of the mornings cry
that tomorrow maybe!
I cannot lie to the structures I am
nor find some prevailing force to expound
what all in all the world it holds
save the identity of you.
If I sleep, my sleep becomes engulfed
in dreams that ride the deepest seas
till there around I see and fathom again your moon.
'Tis here in my dismal chambers
That I am forced to reside and flow
like a haunting romance between
the heavens and the Earth.
But trust me, I stand strong
where the world cannot touch nor hold
These little songs of proverb and psalm
that lingers here amidst the dew
There's no Gold as bright nor half enriched
that glimmers past and through
I draw foremost and liberate the fire
that fills the particles of the mystics soul
and dances ever my thoughts to you.

The Longing

Post by Alisdaire » Sat Aug 09, 2003 9:35 pm

The Longing

The longing
how it passes with each moment
tormenting me deep within
begging me to enter
awaiting my presence there.

I bid the time await
the second hand never does
it continues its momentum through
Rushing to fast for the heart to capture
Till gone another moment without.

The mind slowly draws you here
every mental Image paints you face so kindly
Till here within I hold and touch you
and wish the million moments away
To ever but calm the tempest of my heart.

Will my words ever find the sanity
that love does beg and seeks to hold
Or shall I be lost forever to a memory
without the touch or scent of you
These I long, these I need.

When winter gathers fast around me
Will the beat of your heart pound next to mine
and no matter what destinies role may play
To know I have you, To know your love
What more depth can the soul embrace.

A moments being is all any of us holds
and the morrow may flicker and fly it matters not,
But the souls inner cry, it's hunger, its need
Encompasses around both you and I
and its is here, in this place, I say I love you.

If I Come To You

Post by Alisdaire » Sun Aug 10, 2003 11:25 pm

If I Come To You

If I come to you
would it matter how
when twilight harbors
Or as the Dawn breaks the silent now
for you to feel me gather
your form gently around
till enveloped into parcel
we lay without a sound.

If I come to you
in passions heat
would you wage my tempest
fill my need
would you cry to my touch
beg me release your fears
would you reside within my arms
amidst passions swollen tears.

If I come to you
with words I know you long
shall the morning grace as beautifully
the Larks sweetest song
Will you hold me like a promise
that fills every beat and scented way
to the promise of a tomorrow
with you in everyway.

Part Seven

Post by Alisdaire » Tue Aug 12, 2003 11:16 pm

The Smile of our Fellow

What is left to be said
when one has already made the outcome
and tasted the fainted drizzle of faded words.
I can't be other than what I am
raised truly to feel and breath the life within
I fade not from my ill's or wrongs
but accept them and allow them their parting.

I was raised to believe in the essence of life
to feel its determined state within and reach
Aye, reach into the depths of my fellow man
and to love him for all he is, either right or wrong;
I am no more than they nor they I.
But I understand the pain and sorrow that fills
that balances all their existence into their woes
and I stand with them, for they are my fellows.

I was raised with an honest spoon
fed well upon Scot's ethics and brotherhood
I won't decry what I hold as sacred, I cant!
For it fills ever the bones of my form and stature
and makes me all that I am, or ever will be.
So I fear I hurt some with my candor, that I know
But the worth of any man is in the honesty he holds.
Aye! There has been times when I was silent
when words would fail to fulfill the desired truth
and in that I take at least a little understanding
So that another would not hurt.

Pain is a desired result of life - A truth,
We all fear the uncertainties that fill us
and in our pain and sometimes anger, we
See not the balance that life and love does offer
Till often too late and words of haste fade a Soul away.
But if we stand on the borderlands
between the pain and the reality
Then our words are structured, as cures for those in need
and our hearts, they gather the love seeds of mankind.

There are many a smile, to many a tear
That I have learned and learned well
there are many broke Souls that linger
in worn out hearts and mental delusions
We see them everyday, Do we help? Do we walk away?
No! What structures us and our hearts shouldn't allow it
if they hurt, then by fact and truth we hurt too.

It is here, here within the glimmering orbs of truth
that we as people must partake our roles
To fulfill what within we know as right,
To help that tortured moment and wing away the sorry.
God is mighty, But why do our cries go often so unanswered?
Maybe the greatest wrong is not in God, but rather within us
For why should we plead to the great force when all possibilities
All possibilities, lays within us, But do we care enough?

I lay my words to rest, where best others may see and read
maybe to understand the heart felt sorrow
and feel the breath of God upon them.
For its what we do for each other that opens our souls
and in our moments pleasure we find no greater joy
no more profound reason or purpose, but that smile of our fellow.

All I wished would be

Post by Alisdaire » Fri Aug 22, 2003 10:20 am

All I wished would be

Here it be
Little thoughts
big dreams
all uncertainty.
We strive
We build
touching, seeking
Hoping, dreaming.
All pervading thoughts
All cascading visions
Every internal structure froze
To the pondering hopes and feel.
My words cry to the phantom air
of what I knew was always there
and between the you and my constant dream
A sacred song sways within unseen.
Every little metaphor of singular peace
that travels the worlds inconsistent hold
bears forth in such imbued reverence
each word said, feeling felt, thought shared.
Till the mornings breath retrieves the Soul
I linger ever to the moments sway.
Dear God, the words that dance and fly
upon every thought and moments cry
carry off my Soul into the bitter lands
where ever seems the abode of fading songs
that cried into the opened fields of time
A soft thought and tender song.
We journey a strange filled world
where all eternity glares in ease
of the tormented souls that come and go
to the parting resemblance of the eternal beast.
Here confined, limited to all that I am
I no-longer walk with vibrant step nor hold
any jeweled promise or sweet embrace
Just a worn out soul, torn, tattered, wrought
to the very mournful images and painful knowing
That I am not where I am supposed to be
But lost in a dead world, unable to reach or hold
that time lingers silent upon my soul
and bids in the dew of past dreams and hopes
All I wished would be.

William Butler Yeats

Post by Alisdaire » Thu Feb 12, 2004 4:47 pm

William Butler Yeats

Farewell the hoped for wish
the dandelion fantasy of the woods
The falling waters cascading swirl
Good-bye, Adieu, O' fairie's shawl,
Where the butter cup rises and thereby sings
The Sun's warm promise, it's divine kiss
Where these fields grasp the breath of day
The winds sweep to the constant array
of vibrancy that is life's blessed state
here in these images remember well
The fallen bard, his spoken spell.
I hear the honey filled taverns calling
the blessed isle over the horizon
Seeks again this wandering soul to home
To the fields of the Sidhe to roam.

Though this form be long faded and gone
You shall hear my voice, feel my song
In the thunders clap, the falling rain
Shall be a reminder of this my name
When lightning crosses and fills the sky
See therein my loves deep tender cry
feel the energy I invoke through time
Of love's sweetest passions, desire sublime
The keeper of the gathering storm, the raging sea
And there you may still come and witness me.

Remember fine and well the course
That filled my soul and the days great light
See in that dawn my spirit march
To the days deliverance of darkest night
Know there too, I stand in it's glory
The majesty of the eternal grace, Of the holy
For my mortal spirit awaits the quiet times
Where all beholds it's unfolded story
Free from bardic ways and rhymes.

When the winds finally cross these eyes
and gasp but my final breath
It shall hold in its final essence her name
The flowered daisy the brightened ever the day
and sang her sweet woodland chorus into my depths
Till the silvery beams flood again my soul
And Arianrod cast forth the destined will
I shall cleave whole and solely to fill
From my Sidhe Valley the thoughts of you.

Farewell, O' constant dream
I bid you, your rest
and farewell O marked posts of my heart
To rest in the valleys of heaven's side
My words to fade with the tides of time
My visions, dreams that others shall grace
Shall fall upon the planes of this sacred place
and awaken the fragrant fields of this Isle I adore
here on these tides of Erin's shore.

**Myths Of the Gael**

Post by Alisdaire » Fri Feb 13, 2004 9:42 am

Winner: Poem of the Week: February 22, 2004
Image

**Myths Of the Gael**

Who understands better than they
Those Poets that have shared her promised gift
Walked her lonesome shores, felt her morning call
And blessed the hallowed grounds upon which they stood.

Who can comprehend this vibrant romance
that springs from poet's pen and trembling hand
Drawing her sweet image with detailed craft
To show her magnificence and untold beauty.

Who has not walked her dales or crossed her mire
To not be over taken, whole and complete
into her whirlwind embrace and constant grace
Of all that poetry cannot say.

I've her shine between the lines
Those well penned writes that fills the pages
From Burns, Stevenson, Dunbar, Scott
That peered her majesty and dreamt ever her dream.

I hear the old tales of Celtic myth and legends
That dance upon the faery minds of youths face
Haunting our world to her other side and peace
Till bardic impressions but crown her hood.

I hear the Fenian Yeats with liberated soul
Match word for word her stories old
That gathered the land like a sacred veil
And dressed the world to the myths of the Gael.

We come, poor bewildered spirits
Into the pages of times great write
born but to dream that mother's dream
And fill her countryside to the write.

And so to the night the poets write
The bards to the glen, in songs sing
and mortals to the heavens but cry and pray
In the words that bless her eternal way.

"Hail the silent springs that flow,
the land sacred, filled to show
We poets bless that from which we grow
That sacred Goddess of our hearth to know."

Goat fell--- Isle of Arran Scotland

Post by Alisdaire » Mon Feb 16, 2004 1:31 pm

Goat fell--- Isle of Arran Scotland

Bags no the irish Aran lol

Goat fell, Arran

The winds sweep the steep, steep sides
where heather fills and bracken forms
Between the ancient rocks and boulders vast
That stretches up into the regal sky
Like Giants of a noble race
Dressed in their timeless beauty
And rigid character of days.

Transfigured to the breath of life
I grow with the currents strong
to see the springs of life abound
the turbulent forms that cross and bind
This plot of soil and destined heaven
Which forever draws the heart so fast
To what true beauty within so inspires.

I watch where the kestrel floats
upon the airs majestic breath
Flutter and swooping to its find
amongst the lavender hews and thyme
The edged peaks above bear
Strong the hostile air
dressed to the white caps
Of the chilled crystal breeze.

The sacred Rowan floats with the wind
that circulates here within this glen
the Russet tones that beckon one in
To the prized haven of natures form
I die here, each time
Where my Soul is so carried away
To beyond the frontiers of modern dreams
To the ancient valleys of long dead kings.

Yes I hear the pipes vaunting shrill
from mountain side to far off dale
Whispering the abode of heart and mind
Grasping tight the abyss of the tormented past
And blessing the new day found.
I draw deep this essence of my Soul
To carry her forever within, where e'er I go
This sod of earth that so outweighs my destiny
shall harbor in time my spirit home.

Communion

Post by Alisdaire » Mon Feb 16, 2004 2:56 pm

Communion

We structure our universe here
In the silent sanctums of conscious thought
We cry from the shepherds fold
The flocks of tribes of souls.
Hear Us O Ancient whisper
That has filled through time the dream
That through the countenance we redeem
The sacred blood of time and soul.
I bear the tallit, praise deep the laws
That my fathers of fathers bore and witnessed to,
Let my destined might of hallowed dreams
find fulfillment to all your days.
Then the morning Shema rises and fills
The inner temples sacred soil
It vibrates back across the generations
To rest upon the Holy of Holy
and blesses the Tabernacle of truth.
Here hold I too, Bound by the promise
That I should walk your liberated halls
To the truth that all resounds within
The sacred blessing of your voice
That fills my soul to the Shekhinah's grace.
Draw me upon the Kavvanah of my soul
to ride the Merkabah to those eternal thrones
and there behold the ultimate state
That this wayward Soul ever so longs,
To rest within the bosom of truth and light
And be what is ordained for humanity.

Fire Arises

Post by Alisdaire » Wed Feb 18, 2004 1:31 am

Fire Arises

The fire arises
fast and furious the flames engulf
Taking hold the silent moment
To the quicken beat and flashing thought
Till held captive within one's own pulsating desire
It over flows to that deafening need
That breeds deep within that souls vibrant chamber
Like a volcano erupting filling with it's hot burning lava
Every inch of body, fold of skin and tingling want of flesh.

Oh! and How well I eat, I consume
Till the lingering death seeks the ultimate pleasure
and roaring, crashing through the undergrowth
That animal majestic, bursts through
To take and devour every thought and passion
Till worn and spattered upon the desires
I pass on through.

This Dance called Life

Post by Alisdaire » Wed Feb 18, 2004 1:36 am

This Dance called Life

Tired of the little inconsistencies that fill,
those small questions that ever rebound
Hum upon the inner ear,
Driving the mind mad to the sanity
The truth behind reflection
The reality that binds the moment to
Those little inner tears.
Is it easy to step out beyond the mask
That civilization bids us all to wear
Is there ever truly a purpose, Reason
For all things we do.
We put up with a lot
drive our desires for what
As if in some long run it matters.
There are only moments
long strands consecutive
curve and fill all our deepest fears and hopes
Tiny, worthless stereo type dreams
That somehow managed to slip by and cling
To what we now redeem, live,
God's have been sacrificed for less.
I think if I was to pull the ropes
maybe beyond the half filled glasses
and those misty eyes
some fragment of real meaning might glimmer
across these minions of unfilled projections
placed one atop the other
In this dance called life.

A Love Most Perfect

Post by Alisdaire » Wed Feb 18, 2004 7:29 pm

A Love Most Perfect

The night gathers fast to my bosom
Feathers it's way deep inside my breath
And finds it's surge through the pumping heart
To fill these veins deep to her shinning Soul
That liberates ever the constant embrace
Of a love most perfect.
