Paradise

Post by soular » Mon Oct 16, 2017 1:05 am

Paradise is within everyone
where there's only good
beyond good and bad

Always in the light
night and day

Enabling us to see
through the eyes
to see it within

And there's nothing
to stop the light emitting
unless you, yourself will do

Yes, we each contain within ourselves our own paradise. Most of us need help in finding it, though.

When I go to the mountains alone, I feel tense for the first while, separated from the surroundings, then gradually I am blending in and feeling supported by myriad kinds of life around. I become just life with no name, no mind, and no identity as a human being. It may be put as runner's high but it reminds me of life within.

This brings to mind a short online dialog that I had this morning.

About tunnels. Especially those encountered when cycling rail trails through the mountains.

When I've taken photos deep inside the tunnel, one can only see a bright, light at ends. There are no forms distinguishable. Only a bright white light. (As long as it's daylight. )

As I get closer to an end, the light fills in with the scene awaiting. It's kinda like riding into a painting.

I love the woods & mountains & forest bathing - from the soil and rocks to the wildlife and plants and rivers. And the history of times gone by.

That's what your poem brought to mind for me...before I read your comment about the mountains.
