Grayface
fell from outer space
looking for a place
to lay his head
when he was born
we laughed him to scorn
'til his little baby face
turned red
now he's old
the story's told
it might be
truth or fiction
spends his days
mending his ways
sustained by the bread
of affliction
Grayface
let's quit this place
and take up
a new vocation
I can't understand
how you meet the demand
I'm gonna need
a stronger medication
wagging tongues are wont to say
he's paranoid and probably gay
we all know, Grayface
you're on the level
sun and moon can clearly see
the stars deliver the decree
we're gonna roast
that dirty old devil
Grayface
when the first light appears
erasing all our hopes and fears
good news ringing out the bells
like lightning comes the Son of Man
laying waste our best-known plans
God in heaven knows
we really gave 'em hell
Grayface
we've got to leave this place
in haste before
the fall of night
now I realize
you're not so wise
but you see it all
in black and white.
Grayface
