Lofty is your name
Your name is high
The holiday crowd
Shouting, "Crucify!"
Your name is holy
Your name is just
In Caesar's arm
We place our trust
With lips that flatter
A people bring praise
A makeshift messiah
Preaching "Patience Pays"
In the secret space
Hidden from eyes
Born of bone and flesh
On the 3rd day to rise
Wonderful is your name
Your name our righteousness
Silencing the Accuser
Returning in quietness
Your name is exalted
Our God reigns on high
The throng on Thursday
Shouting, "Crucify! Crucify!"
Perfecting rest on the seventh
In a rich man's grave
Arresting the march of decay
In a resurrection wave.
Lord of The Sabbath

Re: Lord of The Sabbath
Very traditional in its message... sometimes that's a good thing. Thanks for posting!
An' it harm none, do what ye will. Blessed Be.

Re: Lord of The Sabbath
Thanks, heinzs. It is traditional, except the "Thursday throng" bit. I think the traditional ordering of passion week is off by a day, but that's just me.
