Opening Doors

Post by Moushka » Tue Aug 04, 2015 4:00 pm

Many years ago
Standing on a stage
All was in my head
My sorrow and my rage
Jesus came to me
With words of faith and grace
Led me off my pedestal
Red cheeks were on my face
Salvation everlasting
I'm lifted off the floor
Seeking God's approval
He opens up a door
Stuck on Number 2. Learning to begin.

Lovely rhyming scheme, Moushka. The poem seems to describe a heartfelt epiphany; cleanly and concisely expressed - pithy, no fluff. Nicely done. Keep writing!

Thank you Delsol! I just saw your reply. Yes, an epiphany. I used to think through mental illness that the world revolved around me and also every individual. Still possible but no evidence anymore. Wrote this when I realized that grace was sufficient.
