Looking about the sorrows I've met
The open wounds, still raw with regret
I fear the pain she hasn't learned; no, not yet...
An attempt to dress the wound,
Without the stitch to close the cut
Has been my epic fail
Month after month...
In my own ways, I am broken
You're with me always,
Not just a token...
Lord, I am weak,
Though my facade says otherwise.
These days seem so bleak,
As I believe my own lies...
I beg you, break me from these chains
I've wrapped around a thousand times.
Without your help, only Satan gains
But glory be Yours, as this mountain I climb...
The strength comes from You,
Giving credit where credit is due.
Alone, I fail
With You, I excel...
In my own ways, I am broken
You're with me always,
Not just a token...

Hi, Jolene, Your cry for help is clearly seen and felt by God. He is with you always. Trust in Him. Take His hand and let Him lead you out of this dark place where you now dwell and into the light of His love and everlasting grace. I'm praying for you. Chin up. you are not alone.

Hey Darlene! Thanks for your always kind and uplifting words! I don't know why this battle is so hard, but I think I am beginning to trust in God to know what's best. School is out for summer here and watching my daughter, niece, and nephew run around and play has been a true blessing to me. I am learning, slowly but surely.

Jolene, I am so glad you are learning to lean on and trust in Jesus. That warms my heart! Enjoy the Summer with your family. Also, thank you for liking my poem "Drippings From The Honeycomb."
