for those who desire it
for others

paradise is for those
who desire nothing
for themselves

one who is empty
will be filled
to the brim

one who is sated
will go hungry
forced to beg

the righteous
need not turn
and be forgiven

the sinner
will return to God
and be called "My child"

concern for the other
as much as myself
is a law unto itself

until I am spent
for Thee
I am of no value

I will go
to the place of the dead
and sound the alarm

rise, O sleeper,
