Tom...you were a great friend and a true gentleman. Your love and compassion will be forever remembered and you will be greatly missed. I am glad that you've finally been reunited with your true love. I am keeping your family and friends in my prayers.

Tom Watson you will be missed more than you could have ever realized...thank you for all the encouragement you gave me and for being a true friend....
my tears are like a flood I can't seem to stop crying....soon my tears will be tears of joy remembering the kind gentle man with the sweetest soul...
and smiles will replace my frown when I picture you in heaven with Jesus and Mickey... I know you are safe and in good care now and you are ever young
see you around the bend one day my dear brother friend and fellow poet....

Rest in Peace Tom ... you are now with your maker who you so dearly loved and served.

I know you will keep smiling down on us all.

... and his words purge up and outward,
expelled and onward through desert dust swallowed,
sands he says that gorge on simple sensibilities.
And, now he spits fragments, grit, extended vowels and elongated syllables
over cracked lips. Their sounds fall
piling round his boots…

Hello All, I'm shocked to hear of Tom's passing. I will cherish my many years of interacting with Tom here as Pages Poets. Tom was a true Gentleman that will surely be missed by all who touched keys with Him. Take care
Take me back, so far back, adjust this fate. Afeared lately of pen, in abscence of light. The fear I might stumble upon a plagiarized soul. Wipe this dark slate clean, regain my thought. Add the words that rekindle my depth of soul.

From: Summers Discontent 7-24-02

Sincerely

:crying: *gulp*

I'm glad some of his words have been recorded in PPs books as well.

In my mind's eye, I see he and his dog that he loved so dearly and that kept him company. I imagine that pup mourns too.

Just read about Tom's passing from this reality in a note from Deb on facebook. I always considered Tom to be a metaphysician of good standing because his curiosity about the nature of the soul often surpassed the dogma that sometimes clutters and confuses objective observation by those of philosophical bent.

If he was a bhuddist, I would say that he lived according to the path of healing that the poet Thich Naht Hanh so eloquently describes.

If he was a muslim, I'd describe him as humourous and generous as Jelaluddin Rumi, another poet of the charismatic first order.

If he was a caballistic jew I'd compare him to Leonard Cohen and other mystics of the Abrahamic triad.

If he was a pagan, I'd commend his adherence to the threefold laws and so mote it be.

Yet he was primarily and without question a follower of Jesus Christ and likely closer to the Nazarene in terms of compassion and humanity than many of those who ursurp the title for political rather than spiritual reasons.

I will miss him for the dialogue and for even for the occasional diatribe but mostly I will miss him for his good humor and his devotion to his lifelong love; a devotion that so eloquently described him as well as his soul mate.

Til that day, blessed be tom.

I am so saddened to hear about Tom's passing yet I am rejoicing for him as he is with the ones he loves. Safe in the arms of God!

Tom was an amazing man. We spoke many times on ICQ.. He was a gentleman and had a passion for God and life! It is very rare in life that you come across such a man! He will be missed by many.
