Practicing my Senior Moment

Post by Tom Watson » Thu Jun 26, 2003 12:22 am

Hello everybody. I'm Tom Watson (no, I don't play golf  , but I love writing). Maybe some of you have run across me as tippiesdad in other, less "energetic" poetry sites. I am retired Air Force (U.S.). At best recollection I started writing when I was around 11, writing off and on through to the time I enlisted in the Air Force to stay out of the Army. Then life caught up with me and I slowed down my writing until I married, at which point I stopped, almost. Then I became a widower, was born into the Light (which relates to a happening during my childhood - see Spiritual Forum, "Was it You?"). Most of my postings have been in the Spiritual Forum, though I have started branching out to others where my older stuff fits better. Should you run across anything of mine, I hope it leaves you thinking.
Of special note is Bernie, who has dedicated his life to aiding Berlie in creating the best gathering point for people to creatively express their hopes, fears, dreams and imaginative wanderings that exists on the internet. I know this has to cost to be available with the quality it has. I donated to it when I first saw this page a couple of years ago, before life got complicated. I plan to do it again, simply as a token of my appreciation, and would recommend the same for anyone here. This place is worth at least a token :2cents: , or more.
I welcome comments
On what I write
Especially those moments
When you might
Smilie me, pat me on the back
But, also the times when
You say my words lacked
Something and I should start again.

Thanks for letting me practice this Senior moment and allowing me to ramble on. See you in the Forums.

Tom and friends (Wats, Doc and Doctor Watson)

We all have our senior moments to practise, Tom... especially fellow Novatans *grin* (I live on Virginia Ave.)

I'm glad you've decided to spend more time on the "pages". Your postings are great additions to the collection building here.

Well, I was meandering about the house when I happened upon this room full of dust and ancient footsteps, much like those that may be on the moon even now....anyway I decided to dust off and correct some of the words I placed here when I was young and foolish, before becoming old and more foolish....and I am certain that there are many here who do not know us, er, me.
Hmmm, let me explain that little slip...occassionally these characters, my Lady Saturn would call them "muses", I call them "nuisances", pop up and totally embarass me.....yeah, right ....see what I mean?! Butt out Wats!
What was I saying now? ....Tom, can't you remember anything?..sheesh... Doc!, go suck on a green beercicle, nosy!
You see folks? No wonder I get writer's block so often. Nothing that a little prune muffins won't fix, you idiot.
Doctor Watson, you quack, why don't you lubricate your advise and.......umm, well, you know.....
Anyway people, I thank God for all the new people, the old people, and those who have blessed us with their presence and since moved on. and Ravyn,
There is no darkness where you've gone
There is only joy and song
And where your shadow passes by
Its not just the rain that wets my eye..

See ya around,
Tom Watson,
Moderator Spiritual, General and General PG

:?: ............ :book: ......... ................. :?: ............

Yea bernie, you know, the guy who checked to make certain we had power before Berlie hit the lights....not too swift a guy though, using a paperclip to check to see if the socket was live.....
We celebrate his memory every April 1.

It wasn't me, it was Wats!!

I have been held hostage by a bunch of bomb toting terrorists lately, keeping me from visiting the familia as much as I would like so I thought I would revive my introduction for those who may not know me... (thank you Thief, for introducing me to your friends.... )...
