Dark Saturn's Manifesto: Intro

Dark Saturn’s Manifesto: Intro

There’s a new character added to this dysfunctional play.
A darker side you can say.
I’m the one the narrator tries to keep from the spotlight.
Shooing me away from public view.
Public opinion is so overrated.
Want to throw stones;
yet they have demons in their own closets.
Never much for taking the high road.
The halo doesn’t seem to fit
and I just don’t give a damn.
You have fools pretending to be high moral leaders
but you want to come after me for my nature.
Isn’t that just a little hypocritical of you?
Mankind can pretend to be flawless
but each of you has something like me.
If you say you don’t
then you have just proven my point.
For every Saint, there is a Sinner.
Nice to meet you.
In case you’re new to the scene;
let me explain who I am.
I’m the one who pulls the fire alarm
just to watch the chaos it causes.
I say what I mean
and I mean what I say.
I have been in almost every single war.
Except one.
I have watched innocent men die
and the guilty go free.
I bear witness to the death of empires;
and watched governments crumble amongst their own corruption.
I was there when your leaders made deals with the Devil.
All the while, lying to you.
Every act that mankind has tried to hide.
I have unburied and seen play out before my eyes.
When sin wanted to gossip I was all ears.
What I know could make a preacher shiver with fear.
So I dare any critic to come after me.
I have no problem putting someone in their place.
Hell, I consider it my job to do so.
Don’t bother figuring me out.
You will just end up in a cloud of confusion.
I’m meant to be an enigma.
After all, I am the darker side of Saturn.
