When we arrive at
the Inquisition
remind me
to say my prayers
how we got in
this position
I can't avoid
their icy stares
we're all
gathering information
for the big event
heaven's open for business
El Diablo
pays double rent
when we arrive at
the same conclusion
and all the clocks
are synchronized
how to clear up
all this confusion
history has been
sanitized
I bite my lip
look straight ahead
get out of line
you're as good as dead
we're all
gathering dust
in the museum display
when the day comes
with swift finality
and we succumb to decay
when we arrive at
the Inquisition
don't forget
to say your prayers
to find ourselves
in such condition
it's not as if
anyone cares
bite your lip
and look the other way
Christ Almighty
was crucified today.

Re: The Gathering
I like the breaking stanzas in between... good tool to add emphasis and direction.
An' it harm none, do what ye will. Blessed Be.
