What's For Dinner, Mom?

Post by DarleneG » Tue Jun 11, 2013 5:38 pm

I asked my mother,

"What's for dinner today?"

As I tried to keep my face

from turning gray.

"I overheard daddy say

he has an axe to grind,

and at dinner he's giving us

a piece of his mind!"

Thanks, Fibber, we have a lot of weird sayings that kids don't understand. So I just thought I'd try to add a touch of humor with one I remembered.
