Bloom Like My Violets

Post by DarleneG » Fri Jan 04, 2013 10:42 am

God planted a seed
In a damp, dark, place.
And out of the ground
Grew a purple-painted face.
A flower so delicate,
So fragile and fair,
He called it a violet
And blessed it right there.

So, too, with all people,
Who smile through their tears,
He thinks of the violet
And blesses their years.

Through dark and damp valleys,
Through deepest despair,
God whispers through our sorrows,
"I'm with you, through all that you bear."

"Bloom like my violets,
Though your days may be dark.
Bloom were you're planted.
Though your sorrows may be stark."

"Bloom though your heart
May be breaking in two.
Bloom and I'll pour out
My blessings on you."

"Bloom knowing good seeds
You are planting today,
Will be transplanted in Heaven
Forever to stay."

"Bloom and be blessed
So others will receive,
Blessing upon blessing
From One who has grieved."

Inspirational verses. I love the repetition of the word 'bloom'. The ending beguiling. Image of God grieving profound. Good stuff here, Darlene! David

Simply lovely.

Pain is universal, but hope can be equally available to us all, too, as you stated with elegance. Truly enjoyed this.
