The Window Within

Post by Travis » Wed Dec 26, 2012 8:06 pm

Heartfelt heart prints
Forever remaining
Saturating
Staining my soul
Making me complete
Making me whole
From thousands of tiny feet
All the people and places
The new faces I meet
Onward and forward
Walking many miles
Softly sharing soothing smiles
Laughter
Trails of tears
Rejoicing
Remembering
All the years spent
The magic
The moment
And how fast it went
Leaving lasting impressions
Learning valuable lessons
And only today
All it is i feel
Learning truth transforms
Only the eyes of the heart discern what is real
Measureless memories a part of me
The very of heart of me
Pleasant
Priceless
Sometimes painstaking pictures are what I see
A fragile soul on the mend
A gracious and blessed heart
This window within…

This is a fine poem which I found very enjoyable to read. It has natural easy flow. Although I am not sure what the poems means,as a whole, I also didn't feel lost or confused. This is a friend. Not a challenger. Refreshing.

I agree, the flow of this was easy and a pleasure to read.

The ability to look in one's own mirror, to look within, is not always an easy task, but is well worth the journey. Introspection is our path to recognizing the changes we must make in ourselves -- our only true power. And if we can look at ourselves with humor and with love, being gentle when needed and tough in equal measure, we can move forward without trepidation.

Thanks for giving me pause to think and feel -- the best part of poetry for me!
