From the checklist to the bucketlist
How are we to measure our lives?
Or should we even measure, doesn’t that we ultimately lead to a feeling that we just haven’t measured up
What are these goals for which we strive
Are the down and out, down on their luck, are you clinically depressed or just fed up
By the time, you reach forty you need to be married with kids
A mortgage, a career, own a car or two
What if your don’t met the right person, or your partner tells you, good rid
Your house and car get re-possessed, and you’re unemployed too
Life goes through its cycles, with its ups and its downs
And when you are old and reflecting
Whether you’re a member of the elite, or a man about town
It’s the people not the finances, you will regret neglecting
A man’s worth/life can be measured by the friends he has made
So remember this it’s true
Money, can never be loyal, bring you happiness everlasting, but possessions that can fade
Spending time acquiring the wrong goals, will make you sad and blue
Capture precious memories and stories to share
Leave a legacy of good deeds
Show the world you really do care
Help the homeless and hungry do feed
Who is going to mourn a heartless tycoon
Not even his entire staff
But the tears that are shed , from morning to noon
Are shed for those who helped in times in trouble, and when sad, spared time to make us smile or laugh
