The Prayers (poetry for those with unanswered prayers)

Post by Hiyu » Mon Dec 15, 2008 2:04 pm

you prayed for the partner of your dreams
and He gave you chances to show your love
together with obstacles that would make you give up

you prayed for a top spot in the academic exams
and He gave you the chance to prove yourself
together with your classmates reaching higher than you

you prayed for a championship run in your sport
and He gave you the chance in the semi-finals
only to be beaten by the team you beat before

you prayed to become a winner in the contest
and He gave you the inspiration during the competition itself
only to know that you hadn't won anything in the end

you prayed that all your prayers may be answered
and lo and behold, He has all answered them
with opportunities and chances for you to pursue them
and He won't stop giving all of this opportunities
until you get every one of them
even if it takes a million life times.

Action is what differentiates reality from fantasy.

I go onto my knees and weep, hear my prayers, I beseech. :crying:
