I have other African poetry friends that have vanished. Gbenga Ajileye no longer posts. Serdyn DuToit (lmoen) has been missing in action for at least 5 years, as has my first friend Mpumelelo Rantsolase (Lelo).
Oh well... life moves on and there's never any "going back".
Africa is a beautiful and most captivating of all places in the world, yet it is the most brutal and unrelenting place in the whole world, yet just because people go off the grid now and again doesn't mean they are dead trust me on this one we Africans have to be the most resilient people on the whole world, your friends in Africa will return just as I have!
