A Principle of Design

Post by Floetry Spades » Thu Nov 13, 2008 10:15 am

Subtle reflections, illumination in fragments
lyrical sentiments of photons coalescent
on a thin spectrum, on a thin filament
of well dressed music
the physical dynamics
of condensed sound

The duality of cryptography and poetry
the interwoven complexities
of a napkin poem
scribbled on a bathroom stall
within the loose leaf walls
of a margin

Musical symmetry
notated poetry
lyrical imagery with a reflective quality
your ray-light androgyny
you'd change your chemical property
and hide on a compressed wavelength,
but I can still hear you within the static

The duality of cryptography and poetry
the feeble minded simplicity
of a graded poem
written on the dumbed down walls of academia
the punctuality of esoterica
outside the margin
words outside the margin

And for their prelude:

Stars collide in constellations
dreams unfold across the horizon
bacteria grows to term, yet atoms never evolve,
but in all their essence
these poems of collinear expression
may they be ... a mere principle of design
your flaws
and mine

Floetry -- this is wonderful. I love the linking of poetry and cryptography and the remarkable descriptions like:
the interwoven complexities
of a napkin poem
scribbled on a bathroom stall
within the loose leaf walls
of a margin
Brilliant!

As with all design perception is the key to understanding. Sometimes form must give way to function. But simplicity of form can be astonishingly beautiful

I agree with that part. Let's step out of the box of conventional poetry.
