As The Wind Arises

sagebrush clambers as the wind arises within the silence red rock sandstone canyons that whisper from waterfalls eons rise into the twilight where lizards bob trying to catch the flying insects off the edge of the creek and a rattler is watching and waiting for that mistake in which the prey makes w...

Watching The Red Oak

watching the red oak
in the front yard
where nature bides her time
spring has finally come
after the winter rains
blossoms in full bloom
some cover the car port
leaves are just beginning to grow
as the seasons become warmer
listen
maybe you can hear
that whisper
telling one to explore

Grey Mists

grey mists
that blanket
when the ground
reminds one
that certain times of the year
are at best dangerous
better to let clouds rise
than to allow travel
otherwise circumstances change
and things mishappen
finding out what some don't want
simply
be
aware

Warning

grey clouds
lay across like a blanket
winds blow
whistling
yet warning that the storm is coming
somehow
no one is listening
still...
nature has her say
sometimes we regret not listening
to what we are given
at the time
so we live and learn
maybe
we should listen more

One Of Those Days

one of those days
where everything seems to go wrong
and yes
it's my own fault
for not paying attention
to things I need to
you're laughing at yourself
for being stupid
at the same time
you're mad at yourself
and asking why?
murphy is having a good laugh
well suck it up
try again

But The Echo...Remains

to touch thy world can't you see? it needs all of us to be its keeper to find a heart within the empathy and the world in return will take care of us it makes no sense to think we own this world we don't we are temporary when we are dust from whence we came from but the echo remains and yet we have ...

Wait The Storm Out

Love Finally Blossoms

serine within that time held only in a simple promise whispered within the heart memories felt within the reflection tangled scents mingled in the essence of romance perfumed whispers enveloped in that one special moment for two trickling down heart to heart where lips meet and somewhere love finall...

Dancing With Life Itself

wind drawing circles
within an orange horizon
where a scarlet moon
whispers that sacredness
where coyote laughs
howling that somehow
time finds that humor
complete within a certain passion
distinct distractions
that leave one wondering
where one is dancing
with life itself

Time Has Only Begun

scarlet canyon walls
where voices reign
within that ancient past
those ghosts that whisper
within the clouds
echoes in the southwest
where the moon
is luminescent
in that glow
past midnight
and yet...
time has only begun

Within A Crescendo

silent wings
that soar within the wind
horizons met beyond the twilight
clouds
that find
those whispers
only in a moment of time
yet hover
within a crescendo
serenade within
that current
almost like a memory
that has slipped
from one's grasp

Whispers Of The Ancient

within those trails that I've followed arises a cave whether explored or not I know not yet it is an interesting find I climb to find a ledge that overlooks the valley where an eagle soars down below the Dolores River flows against the San Juan's which eventually arrives into MacPhee lake where the ...

Unanswered Reflections

Man's Progress

these days with man's progress specifically with today's politics we have to save today's paradise to only build a parking lot really? does that make sense? no I think not but then when will we realize that we can not eat, drink or breath money? if we keep looking down that road we'll be looking at ...
